About Us
Our passion for efficiency, innovation, and sustainable engineering.
Entirely student-run, the team operates like a start-up; all operations of the team are handled by student leaders. The team was founded in the fall of 2010, and since then has grown to include 65 active members. Our organization is composed of undergraduate students from a wide range of disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, Nuclear, Chemical and Robotics Engineering as well as Environmental Science, Computer Science, Art & Design, Business, Economics and more.
The Supermileage team is a valuable organizational and technical counterpart to the rigorous training that Michigan engineers receive in their academic studies. We operate in a system based project model, with members encouraged to explore many different applications of engineering, from Systems Engineering to Electrical Engineering to Mechanical Engineering and countless others. As a team, we pride ourselves on doing much of our design and manufacturing in-house to help our team members refine their skills. They have the unique opportunity to work through an entire design cycle seeing their project through from conception to completion–preparing them for the expectations of working on real world engineering projects.
Our members are intrinsically motivated, passionate, and resourceful individuals and we hope that you find great value in supporting our organization. In order to bridge the gap between ideas and their materialization, we need your support. We gladly appreciate your time and hope you take part in this undertaking for Supermileage. Go Blue!
